I’ve been needing new jeans for a while. Up until recently I had 3 pairs of jeans… Hold up! I hate saying “pairs of jeans.” It makes no sense. According to M-W, a pair is defined as:
1 a (1) : two corresponding things designed for use together [a pair of shoes] (2) : two corresponding bodily parts or members [a pair of hands] b : something made up of two corresponding pieces [a pair of trousers]
2 a : two similar or associated things: as (1) : two mated animals (2) : a couple in love, engaged, or married [were a devoted pair] (3) : two playing cards of the same value or denomination and especially of the same rank (4) : two horses harnessed side by side (5) : two members of a deliberative body that agree not to vote on a specific issue during a time agreed on; also : an agreement not to vote made by the two members b : a partnership especially of two players in a contest against another partnership
3 chiefly dialect : a set or series of small objects (as beads)
Fine, so we put the two pieces together and turn ourselves around and now we have a pair of pants. I still don’t agree.
Anyway, back to my story. I had 3 pairs of jeans. One ripped at the knee and the other magically became too short for me so my socks tend to show. I can’t stand having any portion of my socks showing, ever. I know other people with odd sock conditions but this is mine. Therefore, I needed new jeans.
Finding new jeans was actually not that hard. I’ve been shopping a fwe times recently and I’ve tried Gap, Hollister, Armani Exchange, and Banana Republic but didn’t have much luck until I went to American Eagle. I like AE’s jeans. They fit well and I don’t need some crazy size like I did with most of the other stores; just a regular old 30/32.
Amy and Adam insinuated I wasn’t cool because I’m not following the whole IN craze with Verizon. What they don’t realize is that I’m the trendsetter now and I’m the one they should be following. I really like Nextel’s new i830 and will most likely get that if Nextel has good reception where I’ll be in Maryland. I know someone down here with that phone, so I guess I’m a follower in that respect. Crap. At least I was a trendsetter at one time.

You only laugh because my coolness is too cool for today’s society.

Jason, you need to get some Justin Timberlake Jeans
I, btw, agree with the whole “pair of jeans” thing. A single jean is a pant-leg. A pair of jeans is what you wear.

Jason, don’t count on Verizon up at the mansion. When I started building, I got Verizon specfically for the site. I couldn’t get reception unless I hiked up to the top of the hill, which was exceedingly unconvenient. One of my contractors had a cell phone that worked, and I think he had Nextel. I recall it was more of a business-type plan than regular Joe Schmoe.
I agree with Jason, about the jeans thing. If you wear a pair of jeans, that implies that you could wear just one jean. I don’t know anyone who walks around with just one pants-leg, and I know some pretty weird people (eg Becca). I guess its like a pair of (eye) glasses. No one wears just one eyeglass, except Colonel Klink.

Rebecca is totally not weird and as proof I will point to the fact that she can’t even spell weird. If she were weird she would at least know how to spell it. Rebecca is “special.”

OK Rebeca, but can you spell “definitely”?
I think it all means that you should stay out of the gene pool!

HOOLLYYY CRAP! AHA! It is spelled ‘Definitely’… Everyone else like Becca, spells it ‘definately’ or ‘definatly’ … I always spell it right. That’s because I’m a Smatr Cukie.

Actually, you don’t always spell it right, in fact you make just as many typos as the rest of us, so get over yourself
