Seldin called me up after work last night to ask if I wanted to go see Evanescence, Three Days Grace, and a few others at the Office Depot center. We made some hot dogs at home real quick and went to pick up his friend Julie who was really cool.
The concert was interesting. I didn’t expect so many goth kiddies. Seldin and I were all preppy in polo’s and such and we were all joking about how we were posers. I dunno if us being preppy there is really funny but it seemed funny to us.
Afterwards, Jason, Julie, and I went to some wings place that had this bucket of Miller Lite deal which ended up being 5 for 6 dollars or something. That’s like grocery store prices! I gave one to our waiter and drank the rest and ate a bunch of wings. Got quite a bit wasted and Jason was fucking with me on the way home. I swear to god he made my seat vibrate and I was all yelling for him to make it stop. Then he turned on the heated seats. Man, that was crazy.
Cool! My friend Tom and his girlfriend saw Evanesance at the opening of an HFS studio up here in Maryland on Saturday. They must have flown down pretty quickly to put on a show in FTL. Its very odd how often I see ties between Baltimore and Ft. Lauderdale now that I’ve moved back. Almost every week something ties the two places together. Maybe it’s just me
I really like the Evanescence album we have (with “Hello”), but I don’t think I’d fit in at one of their concerts either. Didja see any graybeards there, J?
If there were any graybeards there they were all there with thier 12 year old kids.
I don’t like Evanescence…Her voice is sooo annoying..I do like Three Days Grace though. I might be going to see Metallica and Godsmack with a guy from work in October! It’s gonna be awesome.
