My bro-in-law Richard was at a conference there once and someone needed surgery. He had to pay off the hospital staff to get them to use clean equipment. (He was the only person at the conference who spoke enough Spanish to be understood.) It left quite an impression on him, and Richard is a huge risk taker. I'd do tonsils before Mexico.
