Gift List It is a site Adam Douglass and I have maintained for a few years now, but this year we took it a bit more mainstream and launched it on a domain. Previously it was just called “The Adam-D.com Christmas list.” That isn’t too sexy, but Gift List It is pretty sexy to me.
I’ve had a lot of fun working on it this year. Unfortunately, I think most of our work was a little too late to get people using it again this year. We’ll see. I think for our core group of friends and family it will be used, but that’s about it. Maybe next year with some marketing strategy we’ll be able to take this thing a bit more mainstream.
Working on this really makes me want to focus a bit more on consumer oriented web applications. While time consuming, they’re downright fun.
I love using GiftListIt, Jason. It’s a brilliant idea and very well executed. Fun to use, and useful as hell!
GiftListIt is a fun and great webapp which you and Adam have put together. It builds on some of the great features of the old app and adds a lot of new and rich ones. Each day the site seems to evolve with new functionality. The “Recent gifts†and the yellow mouse-over feature, and new intro are cool.

If for some reason you don’t like it and you’re reading this, let me know why and I’ll take it into consideration and perhaps even fix what is bugging you.
I’m sure you’ve thought about this, but it would be a great tool for any occasion!… birthdays to weddings. As the seasons/months come and go, keep up the look to mirror the current (ie how Google changes thier image from day to day). Anyhow just a thought i’d pass along.
