Got one thing on my resolution list down. I am now the proud homeowner of a house about 4 blocks away on Fait Ave. There’s so much work to do and so much more I could do on the house. I’m having some trouble grasping where to start and how much to try and do at once. Other than that though, I’m basking in the fact that I could be living in my house just as soon as I add a bathroom and remodel the upstairs and drywall everything and redo the kitching. Ack! What was I thinking?
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that it’s in bad shape. It’s just that it could be in better shape. And while making it in better shape, why not go all out and do it all the right way. Right?

Home maintenance is a continuous task. One idea is to do one room at a time. Being able to isolate a room and to fix it up while you live in the other parts of the house keeps the chaos down. You could rank the projects based on their criticality and work through the list over time. Taking before and after pictures is always helpful. Doing drywall plastering is fun while doing the sanding is a dusty endeavor. Sweat soldiering is fun when you get the right temperature as the metal flows together.

congratulations
you should just knock down the walls and turn each floor into large efficiency apartments with movable walls and hardwood floors.
