If you’re wondering what my house looked like when I first purchased it, the following should serve well:

Let’s just say my house was a shaggy cool, wood paneled, faux brick, drop ceiling haven. It looks a bit more plain now, and believe it or not might actually look better in its current state!

Ok, maybe that’s just wishful thinking…
One advantage of the approach your taking is that you will quickly know the state of the house and all its hidden secrets. It establish a baseline that you can only improve on. There is a certain pride and enjoyment you get in doing your own craftsmanship. It is also a great place for learning and experimentation.
Wow, that looks like a project. Are you doing all the work yourself? Chad did some remodeling at his office and it was definitely a project (laminate flooring, tiling the lobby, re-doing the bathroom, painting, etc…)….it still isn’t totally done, but his ideas are a little grandiose sometimes. The overall vision is great, though.
Don’t know about that, J, but I know where you and Hev are taking it is going to be a huge improvement over the old!
I’m a Jason P Lancaster as well, The world is a small place and I trained as an Architect now a designer.
I can’t wait to tear more stuff up this weekend. Time to eat dust!
