Living
I live in a rowhome in Canton (Baltimore City) with my sister Heather and our cat Rags. Our home is in the process of being renovated (we’re doing it ourselves), which is a lot of work but we figure it will payoff and be incredibly rewarding.

Working
In September 2004, I founded Fusion Bay, a web application development firm with Adam Douglass. We provide contract application development and programming resources throughout the US and the majority of our work comes from partnerships with web design firms and advertising agencies.

Dancing
A major portion of my life is spent swing dancing in Baltimore. I’m an active member of Charm City Swing, an organization dedicated to introducing non-dancers to the art of swing dancing. We run social dances every Monday night at the Austin Grill in Canton. You can find me taking money at the door, DJ’ing, teaching beginner lessons with Emily (the girlfriend), and ALWAYS dancing. I also travel to other venues on occasion, including ChileSwing on Thursday nights and Jam Cellar on Tuesday nights.

Climbing
My other hobby is climbing. I spend a lot of time climbing indoors and outdoors here in Maryland. I’m a relatively new climber (I started September 2006) but hope to become much more experienced in the next couple years. I started bouldering primarily in April 2007. I still do roped climbs every once in a while for endurance purposes but my ideal is to be free of a harness.

Outdoors
I’m an outdoors type of person who is always cold (I blame it on the thin blood I acquired living in Florida). I’ve traveled to Alaska, the Arctic Circle, Niagara Falls, Grand Canyon National Park, Meteor Crater, Arches National Park, and many other places throughout the United States and Canada. I like to run, bike, hike, and climb. I love cold weather, skiing, and mountains. I love snow and hate cold rain.

Reading and movies
I try to keep a running list of the books I read even though it’s somewhat pathetic how often I actually complete a book. I also like watching movies.
